Ghost Story by cloudnine
It all happened one dark and rainy day while I worked at the Children's Hospital
as a volunteer. I was asked by one of the staff nurses to head into storage to
pick up a couple of dummies for a class we were holding. It seemed like a simple
task right? All I had to do was get some things out of the storage from the old
building.
While I ran out into the rain and headed to the old building, It was getting
darker as the rain fell even harder. The sound of thunder sounded ominously in
the distance. By the time I reached the storage door, my clothes were soaking
wet, the umbrella proved useless in such horrible conditions. Fearing that I
would catch a cold, I pushed the double doors aside and quickly headed inside
for some shelter.
It was dark silent hallway. My footsteps echoed across the empty hall. The rain
patted lightly on the windows, creating strange shadows on the walls. I finally
reached my destination, a wooden door dusty and discolored. The solid letters
reading "storage" was barely visible from the layers of
dust...
I opened the door and to my suprise, the light was already turned on. I took the
first step inside and instantly, I felt a tingle behind my neck... the room felt
colder than usual. Empty spiderwebs covered the shelves like blankets seperating
it from the real world. I had to do some tricky maneuvering to avoid touching
them. I reached the back of the storage and found what I needed, a practice
dummy for CPR. At that moment I thought it odd that they would have left this
here.
I looked around once more and saw a window open in the corner. Maybe that's why
it felt so cold in the room? I walked over and closed the window with a slam
locking it into place.
Suddenly, the lights flickered off.
Darkness crept into the room and devoured all light in an instant. I couldn't
see anything in front of me other than a faint silouette of the door. I slowly
paced back closer to the door, trying to remember where the spider webs were.
Slowly but surely I was making progress in getting out of there, then out of
nowhere I hear this cry.. a little girl sobbing softly among the sound of
raindrops outside.
I stopped for a moment, trying hard not to panic I continued to walk closer to
the door. It must be my imagination playing tricks on me, but with each step I
take the cry kept getting louder. Behind me a pair of footsteps echoed with mine
as if following me. I stopped once more, pondering whether or not I should take
a quick look back or break out in a frenzy and run for my life...
Now, what did you think I would have done? Well, common sense from watching
countless horror flicks tells that whenever in a situation where you get an odd
desire to look back, NEVER look
back!!
So I ran the hell out of there, getting caught in all types of spiderwebs and
slamming into the door twice before I found the knob and ran the out back into
the cold rain.
Afterwards, I found out that it was prank the nurses play on gullible volunteers
on their last days. However, when I asked them about the crying girl and
footsteps...
--- they knew nothing about it....

lol~ I showed it to a couple of people, 2 of which are CG animators and they're
jaws were literally on the floor when they saw it ^^ They're still debating on
how Little Wing animated the window curtains in some of the scenes
Other than that fact it borrows the characters from the Type-Moon game
Tsukihime, it's 100% original ^^ Music, illustrations, animation, pretty much
everything was done by Little Wing.
Now if only the OP for Tsukihime was as cool as this...

music was done by a group called Little Wing. No stock video or audio was used

I just watched it today and suprisingly, I found myself liking it ^^;;
It has a more futuristic theme going on compared to CCS. The characters are
likable, especially Nonoha and her odd facial expressions when she gets confused
^^ It actually feels more mature than CCS, a bit more fanservicey *cough*
transformation *cough* and with the settings and characters as well. So far the
idea may be a clone of CCS, but I have a feeling that it's going to develop a
more darker storyline later~~
